About Linda:
In the ever-changing landscape of college admissions, in addition to a variety of
financial, academic, and social factors, finding best-fit schools is critical.
Linda’s unique approach to the college planning process is personalized and helps students and parents navigate this process with ease and success. She believes a consultant is an extension of and complement to the college services at school.
I guide students on their journey of self-exploration. My goal is to relieve family stress by
breaking down the process into manageable steps. I am passionate about helping
students incorporate their interests and goals throughout the college search and
application process. I encourage students to own the process by equipping them with
easy-to-follow tools to research schools and follow a detailed timeline. Beyond the
college process, my students gain highly-transferable skills: researching, finding a voice,
self-advocacy, resume writing, interviewing, and more. My hope is that at the end of our
time together, students will build a new sense of confidence and feel emboldened in their
passions. I love working collaboratively with students to find successful college matches
where students will grow academically and socially.
Linda brings more than a decade of experience working with students as an Independent
Education Consultant. She holds a Certificate in College Consulting from Columbia
University and is a Professional Member of IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association). As a resident of the DMV and Baltimore area for the past 37+ years, she is intimately familiar with the process and schools in the greater Virginia and Maryland area. However, she works with students all across the country.
Linda has volunteered with Bridges of Baltimore for more than 10 years and has been
successful in assisting underrepresented students with their college process. She brings
her professional background in marketing, research, and technology to help her students
launch and has served on school curriculum committees and on boards for theater,
orchestra, and dance.
